The line will have (6,0), (0,8).

It is a right triangle with base 8 and height 6.

The area is 1/2 × 6 × 8 = 24.

Given; x/6 + y/8 = 1

To Find;  the area of the triangle formed by the line x/6 + y/8 = 1 with the coordinate axis

Solution; Comparing the given equation with the standard equation

x/a+ y/b=1

a=6 b=8

So the x-intercept is 6 and the y-intercept is 8

Base=6 height=8

Area =base*height/2=48/2=24

Hence the area of a triangle is 24
