Find the area of the triangle formed by joining the midpoints of the sides of the triangle whose vertices are (0,-1), (2,1), and (0,3). Find the ratio of this area to the area of the given triangle.​

Hey dude,it is very simple

veritces of trianles are given.

take out the vertices of mid point

vertices of mid point=(0+2/2,1-1/2),(2+0/2,3+1/2),0+0/2,3-1/2)

now after taking out this , simply take out the area by using the formula.

taking out both the area of triangles, simplly divide ,to get the ratio

Verticles of traingles are given .Take out the verticles of the mid point =(0+2/2 ,1-1/2) , (2+0/2,3+1/2),(0+0/2,3-1/2)

Now after taking out this, simply take out the area by using this formula .

Taking out both the areas of traingles ,simplly divide,to get the ratio
