Answer:

A = 1/2[ x₁(y₂-y₃) + x₂(y₃-y₁)+x₃(y₁-y₂) ]

x₁ = 0 y₁ = 0 x₂ = 4 y₂ = 0 x₃ = 4 y₃ = 3

A = 1/2 [ 0(0-3) + 4(3-0) + 4(0-0) ]

A = 1/2 [ 0 + 12 + 0 ]

A = 1/2*12

A = 6 sq units

Area using heron's formula

two sides are 4 and 3 units therefore third side is 5 units Pythagorean triplet

s = (3+4+5)/2 = 6 [ s = semi perimeter ]

A = √s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) [ Heron's formula ]

=> √6(6-5)(6-4)(6-3)

=> √6×1×2×3

=> √36

=> 6 sq units
