  • Area of triangle .

 = \frac{1}{2}  ( {x}^{1} ( {y}^{2}  -  {y}^{3} ) +  {x}^{2} ( {y}^{3}  -  {y}^{1} ) +  {x}^{3} ( {y}^{1}  -  {y}^{2} )

 =  \frac{1}{2} (1 - ( - 5 - 0) + 2(0 - 7) + 0(7 - ( - 5))

 =  \frac{1}{2} ( - 5 - 14 + 0(12)

= \frac{1}{2} ( - 19)

 =  \frac{19}{2}

 = 9.5 \: unit \: square \:
