Area = 2 units

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation is: x / 2 + y / 2 = 1

⇒ ( x + y ) / 2 = 1

⇒ x + y = 2

On plotting in graph we get the line crossing the x and y axis at 2.

Hence it's height is 2 units and it's base is also 2 units.

Hence Area = 1/2 × Base × Height

⇒ Area = 1/2 × 2 × 2

⇒ Area = 1/2 × 4 = 2 units

Hence Area of triangle formed is 2 units.
