Solution :

The coordinates of the vertices of the triangle ABC are O (0, 0), A (4, 0) and B (0, 6)

We can say that -

OA = 4 units

OB = 6 units

where OA can be taken as the base and OB as its height, and ABC is a right angled triangle.

Then area of triangle ABC

= 1/2 * base * height

= 1/2 * 4 * 6 unit²

= 12 unit² ( Ans. )

Answer:

o(0 0). a(4. 0) b(0. 6)

x1. y1. x2 y2 x3. y3

area of triangle=1/2*x1(y2-y3)+x2(y3-y1)+x3(y1-y2)

=1/2*0(0-6)+4(6-0)+0(0-0)

=12units
