Solution :

_____________________________________________________________

Given :

The co-ordinates O(0,0) , A(4,0) & B(0,6) forms a triangle,.

_____________________________________________________________\

To Find :

The area of triangle,.

_____________________________________________________________

We know that,

Area of triangle =  \frac{1}{2} I x_1(y_2 - y_3) + x_2 (y_3 - y_1) + x_3 (y_1 - y_2) I

x_1 = 0, x_2 = 4, x_3=0

y_1 = 0, y_2 = 0 , y_3 = 6,

Hence,

Area =  \frac{1}{2} I0(0-6) + 4(6-0) + 0(0-0)I

 \frac{1}{2} I(0 + 24 + 0)I

 \frac{1}{2} I(24)I

 \frac{1}{2} (24) =  \frac{24}{2}

⇒ 12sq.units,.
