The area of the triangle OPQ is equal to 1/2 unit².

The triangle given in the question has the vertices O = (0,0) P = (1,0) Q = (0,1) .

The triangle OPQ is right angle triangle with the right angle at O.

As the triangle is right angled , the area of the triangle OPQ = 1/2 × Base × height

For the triangle OPQ -

Base = OP = 1 unit

height = OQ = 1 unit

Area of the triangle OPQ = 1/2 × OP × OQ

= 1/2 sq. units
