Given :

  • Base of a triangle = 8 cm
  • Height of a triangle = 3.5 cm

To find :

  • Area of the triangle

Concept Used :

→ Formula to calculate area of triangle :-

  • Area of triangle = ½ × b × h

where,

  • b = base of the triangle
  • h = height of the triangle

Solution :

Area of the triangle :-

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Area = ½ × b × h

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Area = ½ × 8 × 3.5

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Area = 4 × 3.5

⠀⠀⠀⇒ Area = 14

Area of the triangle = 14 cm²

⠀⠀⠀━━━━━━━━━━━

Know MorE :

  • Perimeter of triangle = sum of all the three sides.
  • Semi - perimeter = Perimeter ÷ 2

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀or

  • Semi - perimeter = (a + b + c)/2

where,

  • a, b and c are the three sides of the triangle respectively.

  • Heron's formula = √s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)
  • Area of equilateral triangle = √3/4 a²

where,

  • a is the side of the triangle.

Given :

  • Base of Triangle = 8cm
  • Altitude of Triangle = 3.5cm

 \\

To Find :

  • Area of Triangle

 \\

Solution :

✰ As we know that, Area of Triangle is given by ½ × Base × Height. Now in this question Base and Height of a Triangle are given so simply we will apply the Formula to find the area.

Putting the Values :

⟹ Area of Triangle = ½ × B × H

⟹ Area of Triangle = ½ × 8 × 3.5

⟹ Area of Triangle = 4 × 3.5

⟹ Area of Triangle = 14cm²

Thus Area of Triangle is 14cm²
