Find the area of the triangle whose sides or a (0,0) b (6,0) and c (0,6)

A (0,0) is origin.

B (6,0) lies on the x axis.

C (0,6) lies on the y axis.

If we will join the points A, B and C then we will find that traingle ABC is a right angled traingle.

Since it is right angled traingle and the two small sides are along x axis and y axis,

therefore, the length of AB and AC will be 6 units.

Using PYTHAGORAS THEOREM in triangle ABC,

BC ^2 = AB ^2 + AC ^2

BC ^2 = 6 * 6 + 6 * 6

BC ^2 = 36 + 36

BC ^2 = 72

BC = √72

BC = 6 √2 units

The three sides if the traingle are 6, 6 and 6 √2.
