Find the area of the triangle whose vertices are (-8,4) (-6,6) and (-3,5)

A(-8,4) B(-6,6) C(-3,5)
area of∆=1/2[x1(y2-y3)+x2(y3-y1)+x3(y1-y2)]
=1/2[-8(6-5)-6(5-4)-3(4-6)]
=1/2[-8(1)-6(1)-3(-2)]
=1/2[-8-6+6]
=1/2×-8
=-4
area of∆ABC is 4 units
