Find the area of the triangle with the base as 12 cm and the height of the triangle is equal to width of rectangle having an area of 96 cm2 and length of 12 cm

Here,

Area of rectangle= L×B

96 = 12×B

96/12= B

8 = B

Therefore breadth of the rectangle is 8cm.

Now area of triangle=1/2×base×height

= 1/2×12×8
