Area of zari along the length of sari

= 2.5 × 550 + 2.5 × 550 - 1375 + 1375 = 2750 cm²

Area of zari along the width of sari

= 120 x 5+ 120 x 25

= 2750 + 3600 = 6350 cm²

= (125-2.5-2.5) x 5+ (125-2.5-2.5) × 25 = 600 + 3000

= 3600 cm²

Hence, total area covered with zari is 3600 cm²
