Answer:

area of quadrilateral ABCD = 2996.63cm².

Step-by-step explanation:

here, area of Δ ABD + area of Δ BDC = area of quadrilateral ABCD

now, area of Δ ABD = \sqrt{s (s-a) (s-b) (s-c)}     where, s = a+b+c/2

                                 = \sqrt{55 (55-20) (55-20) (55-15)}

                                 = \sqrt{55*35*35*40}

                                 = \sqrt{2695000}

                                 = 1641.64cm²

now, area of Δ BCD = \sqrt{s (s-a) (s-b) (s-c)}     where, s = a+b+c/2

                                 = \sqrt{50 (50-20) (50-16) (50-14)}

                                 = \sqrt{50*30*34*36}

                                 = \sqrt{1836000}

                                 = 1354.99cm²

∵area of Δ ABD + area of Δ BDC = area of quadrilateral ABCD

 area of quadrilateral ABCD = 1641.64cm² + 1354.99cm²

                                                = 2996.63cm²

hope it will help you.
