there would be two methods, heron's formula and bh/2. let's go for easy one

area(triangle) =
 \frac{1}{2} base \times perpendicular \: height

0.5 × 6 × 8
therefore area=24 cm^2

Area of a right angled triangle = ½ × Base × Height

Here,

Base of ∆ DEA = 6 cm

Height of ∆ DEA = 8cm

So Area = ½ × 6 × 8 = 24 cm²
