FIND THE AREA OF TRAPEZIUM WHOSE SUM OF PARALLEL SIDES IS 48 METRES AND DISTANCE BETWEEN TWO PARALLEL SIDES IS 12 METRES.

area of trapezium=1/2×sum of parallel sides×height
=1/2×48×12=48×6=288

(Sum of parallel sides)(distance b/w parallel sides)1/2=area of trapezium

Sum of parallel sides=48m
Distance between parallel sides=12m

therefore,
the area of yhe trapezium
=(1/2×48×12)m^2
=288m^2

Ans. The area of the trapezium is 288m^2
