Answer :-

Given :-

  • Base of the triangle = 12 + 20 = 32 cm
  • Altitude corresponding to base = 9 cm

To Find :-

  • Area of the triangle

Solution :-

We know that,

→ Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

Here, from the given figure we are given base and altitude and asked to find the area of triangle. So, by simply substituting the value in formula, we can find area of the triangle.

→ Area of triangle = ½ × 32 × 9

→ Area = 16 × 9

→ Area = 144

Area of triangle = 144 cm²

Given:-

  • Base of the triangle is 32 cm.
  • Altitude corresponding to base is 9 cm.

To Find:-

  • Area of the triangle.

Solution:-

★ In this question we have given the base of the triangle and altitude corresponding to base. We have to find out the area of the triangle. Let's do it.

According to the question,

We know that,

⇢ Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

⇢ A = ½ × b × h

⇢ A = ½ × 32 × 9

⇢ A = ½ × 288

A = 144 cm²

Hence,

  • The Area of triangle is 144 cm².
