Given,

The lengths of the three sides of the triangle ABC are 100cm, 100cm and 160cm.

To find,

The area of the given triangle and the height of the triangle on it's largest line.

Solution,

First of all, we have to calculate the area of the given triangle by heron's formula.

Semi perimeter = (100+100+160)/2 = 180cm

Area = ✓180×(180-100)×(180-100)×(180-160)

= ✓180×80×80×20

= ✓23040000

= 4800 cm²

Now,the length of the biggest line of the given triangle = 160 cm (we will assume this side as the base of the given triangle.)

Let, the height = x cm

Area = ½ × x × 160 = 80x cm

80x = 4800

x = 60

Hence, the area of the angle is 4800 cm² and the height on the biggest side is 60 cm.
