================

Formula to be used

------------

=> Area of triangle

= √{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

where

=> s = semi perimeter

=> a,b,c are the sides of triangle.

___________________________

Given

====

Sides

°°°

=> AB = a= 15

=> BC = b = 14

=> AC = AD+AC= c=5+12 = 17

Perimeter of ∆ABC = a+b+c

= 15+14+17 = 46

Semi perimeter (s) = Perimeter÷2

= 46÷2 = 23

So..

=> Area of triangle

= √{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

= √{23(23-15)(23-14)(23-17)

= √{23×8×9×6}

= 99.679 ≈ 100 sq unit
