if you want to know ,how I derive the following steps,refer the image given
angle BCA=90°

BC is the height=5cm
CA is the base=7cm
area of triangle=1/2×base×height.
=1/2×7×5 cm
=17.5 cm square

area of triangle ABC is 17.5 cm square
