 Let \: A(2,3) = (x_{1} ,y_{1}) , \\B(-1,0) = (x_{2} ,y_{2})\: and \\ C(2,-4) = (x_{3} ,y_{3}) \: are \\ vertices \: triangle \: ABC

 Area \: of \: the \: triangle \: ABC \\= \frac{1}{2}|x_{1}(y_{2}-y_{3}+x_{2}(y_{3}-y_{1}+x_{3}(y_{1}-y_{2}|\\= \frac{1}{2}|2[0-(-4)]+(-1)[-4-2]+2[3-0]| \\= \frac{1}{2}|2\times 4+(-1)(-6)+6| \\= \frac{1}{2}|8+6+6|\\= \frac{1}{2}\times 20 \\= 10 \: square \:units

Therefore.,
