Given :

  • Measures of sides = 17cm, 25 and 26 cm

To find :

  • the area of the triangle

Steps :

  • Here, before finding the area, we have to find the Semi-perimeter of the sides.
  • Then, we have to use the "Heron's Formula" to find the Area.

Solution :

⇒ Let's find the Semi-Perimeter.

Semi-Perimeter = a + b + c/2

                          = 17 + 25 + 26/2

                          = 68/2

                          = 34

⇒ Now, let's use the "Heron's Formula" to find the Area.

Heron's Formula = √s (s - a) × (s - b) × (s - c)

                            = √34 × (34 - 17) × (34 - 25) × (34 - 26)

                            = √(34) × (17) × (9) × (8)

                            = √(34 × 17 × 9 × 8)

                            = √41616

                            = 204

Therefore, the Area of triangle is 204 cm².
