We know that if three vertices (x1, y1), (x2, y2) and (x3, y3) are given, then area of the triangle can be calculated by using following formula

1/2 [ x1 (y2 - y3 ) + x2 (y3 - y1) + x3 (y1 - y2)

Here Points Gives (2, 2), ( -3, 3) (-2, -1)

x1 = 2,  x2 = -3,  x3 = -2

y1 = 2,  y2 = 3,  y3 = -1

∴ Area of given triangle

=1/2[ 2 (3 + 1) -3 ( -1 -2) -2 ( 2 - 3)]

1/2 [ 8 + 9 +2]

1/2 ×19

Area = 19/2 sq units
