Given :-

Vertices of triangle ️ABC

A (2, 1), B(-2, 3), C(4, - 3)

=> x1 = 2, x2 = - 2, x3 = 4

and y1 = 1, y2 = 3, y3 = - 3

To find :-

Area of triangle ️ ABC

Formula used:-

Area of triangle =

1/2 [ x1(y2 - y3) + x2 (y3 - y1) + x3(y1 - y3)]

Solution :-

Area of triangle ️ABC

= 1/2 [ x1(y2 - y3) + x2 (y3 - y1) + x3(y1 - y3)]

= 1/2[2 × (3 - (-3)) - 2 × (-3 -2) - 3 × (1 - (-3))]

= 1/2[12 + 10 - 12]

= 1/2 × 10

= 5 square units.
