diameter of the semi-circle=7cm,
then
radius=7/2 cm,
therefore
Area of unshaded portion = Area of rectangle - 2× Area of two semi-circles,
= l×b - 2 × 1/2 ×πr²,
=14×10 - 22/7 × 7/2×7/2,
=140 - 38.5,
= 101.5 cm²
then
radius=7/2 cm,
therefore
Area of unshaded portion = Area of rectangle - 2× Area of two semi-circles,
= l×b - 2 × 1/2 ×πr²,
=14×10 - 22/7 × 7/2×7/2,
=140 - 38.5,
= 101.5 cm²

Hey mate....
Here is ur ans
Area of the rectangle
=l×b
=14×10
=140cm
Diameter of one semicircle
=14/2
=7cm
And radius
=7/2
=3.5cm
Area of the semicircle
=πr²/2
=22/7×3.5×3.5/2
=77/4
=19.25
Area of unshaded portiom
=Area of rectangle-area of semicircle×2
=140-19.25×2
=140-38.5
=101.5cm²
Hope it helps u..
