perimeter of isosceles triangle is 2a+ b. so different side is 6cm by useing heroes formula you will get area

Perimeter of triangle = 30cm

12+12+b= 30
b= 30-24
b= 6cm
area \: of \: isosceles \: triangle =  \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times  \sqrt{ {a}^{2} -  \frac{ {b}^{2} }{4}  }  \\  \frac{1}{2}  \times 6 \times  \sqrt{ {12}^{2} -  \frac{ {6}^{2} }{4}  }  \\ 3 \times  \sqrt{144 -  \frac{36}{4} }  \\ 3 \times  \sqrt{144 - 9}  \\ 3 \times  \sqrt{135}  \\ 34.8568 {cm}^{2}
