Step-by-step explanation:

a=45cm

h=24cm

b=d=35cm

r=d/2=35/2

area of shaded region = area of trapizium- area of semi circle

 =  \frac{1}{2} (a  + b)h -  \frac{1}{2} \pi {r}^{2}  \\  =  \frac{1}{2} (45 + 35)24 -  \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times  \frac{35 \times 35}{2 \times 2}  \\  = 80 \times 12 -  \frac{1925}{4}  \\  = 960 - 481.25 \\  = 478.75 {cm}^{2}
