Find the areas of the curved surface and the total surface of a cylinder closed at both ends with base 8.4 cm in radius and height 15cm (use pie 22/7)

Radius of cylinder (r)=7cm

Height of cylinder (h)=15cm

Curved Surface Area =2πrh

=2×(22/7)×7×15

=660cm

Total Surface Area =2πr(h+r)

=2×(22/7)×7(15+7)

=2×22×22

=968cm

Answer:

Csa of cylinder :2πrh= 2×3.14×8.4×15 =633cm square

TSA of cylinder = Csa of cylinder + πr×r= 633+3.14×8.4×8.4

=633-221.5 =411.5cm square
