Answer:

from top the figure can be split into one triangle, 1 rectangle, a trapezium and another rectangle

area of the triangle=1/2 * 3.6 * 1.2=2.16

area of rectangle=3.6*1=3.6

area of trapezihm can be split as two triangles and a rectangle

rectangle=3.6 * 2=7.2

triangles=2* 1/2 * 2.2 * 2=4.4

last rectangle= 8*2.4=19.2

total area= 2.16+ 3.6+ 7.2 +4.4+ 19.6=36.96 squared cm

Answer:

Area of triangle=½×base×height

=½×3.6×1.2

=1.8×1.2

=2.16sqcm

Area of Rectangle=length×breadth

=1×3.6

=3.6sqcm

Area of trapezium=½×(sum of the length of

parallel sides)×height

=½×(3.6×8)×2

=½×28.8×2

=28.8sqcm

Area of Rectangle=length × breadth

=2.4×8

=19.2sqcm

Area of figure=Area of triangle + Area of Rectangle + Area of trapezium + Area of Rectangle

=2.16 + 3.6 + 28.8 + 19.2

=53.76sqcm

Area of the figure=53.76 sqcm
