Radius(r) of the semi circles =
 \frac{1}{2}  \times ( \frac{14}{2}cm - 3cm)
=2cm
Ar.of the shaded region=ar. of square - ar. of the 4 semicircles
 =    {s}^{2} - \frac{1}{2}  \times (4\pi {r}^{2})
  = {(14cm)}^{2}  -  \frac{1}{2}  \times (4 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times ( {2cm}^{2} ))
 = 196 {cm}^{2}  -  \frac{1}{2}  \times    \frac{352}{7}
 = 196 {cm}^{2}  -  \frac{176}{7} {cm}^{2}
 =  \frac{1176 {cm}^{2} - 176 {cm}^{2}  }{6}
 =  \frac{1000 {cm}^{2} }{6}
 = 166.67 {cm}^{2}
