Answer:

multiply numerator and denominator by √3 - i

so (1+√3i)(√3 - i) =2√3+2i

and (√3 + i)(√3 - i)=4

so arg(√3/2  +i/2)

so tanx =-(1/2)/(√3/2)=-1/√3
