Natural number is a number that occurs commonly and obviously in nature. As such, it is a whole non-negative number. The set of natural numbers, denoted N, can be defined in either of the two ways.
N = (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.......)
N = (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.......)
There is some confusion about 0 among mathematicians that whether it is a natural number or a whole number.
I have solved this question by considering 0 as a natural number and also as a whole number.
Considering '0' as a Whole Number -
Arithmetic Mean = Sum of all the natural numbers/Number of Total Numbers
⇒ (1 +2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17 + + 18 + 19 + 20)/20
⇒ 210/20
Arithmetic Mean = 10.5
Considering '0' as a Natural Number -
⇒ (0 + 1 + 2 ++ 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 + 8 + 9 + 10 + 11 + 12 + 13 + 14 + 15 + 16 + 17 + 18 + 19)/20
