The Average of the rational numbers \frac{4}{5}, \frac{2}{3}, \frac{5}{6} is \frac{23}{30}.

Given data: The rational numbers are \frac{4}{5}, \frac{2}{3}, \frac{5}{6}.

To find      : The average of the given numbers.

Formula    :  Average = \frac{\text{Sum}}{\text{Total \ numbers}]}

Total no:   3

Finding sum for the given values :

Sum = \frac{4}{5}+\frac{2}{3}+\frac{5}{6}

Taking LCM for denominator values 5, 3, 6.

L.c.m for the denominator 5,3,6 is 30.

We get,

\frac{4}{5}+\frac{2}{3}+\frac{5}{6} = \frac{4\times6}{5\times6}+ \frac{2\times10}{3\times10} +\frac{5\times5}{6\times5}

               = \frac{24}{30}+ \frac{20}{30}+ \frac{25}{30}

Sum =  \frac{69}{30}.

Finding Average :

Applying the average formula, we get

Average = \frac{\text{Sum}}{\text{Total \ numbers}}

Average = \frac{\frac{69}{30} }{3}

              = \frac{69}{30}\times\frac{1}{3}

Average = \frac{23}{30}.

Therefore, the average is \frac{23}{30}.
