To find : base  of rectangle i.e. breadth .

Given : length = 20 \ cm and area = 100 m^{2} = 10000\ cm^{2}

Solution :

  • According to question we are given that length and area of rectangle is 20 \ cm and 10000\ cm^{2} respectively. We have to find breadth of rectangle.
  • To find area we use following formula -

       Area of rectangle = length \times breadth

  • Substituting the values we get,

                 10000 \ cm ^{2} = 20 \ cm \times breadth \\breadth = \frac{10000\  cm^{2} }{20\ cm }   \\breadth = 500 \ cm

Hence, breadth of rectangle is 500 \ cm.
