Find the base of the triangle if the area is 16 hectares and height is 40 dam

Hello Mate!

So, here we have height = 40 dam and area of triangle = 16 hectare.

Since 1 dam = 10 m

40 dam = 40 × 10 m = 400 m

And 1 hectare = 10000 m²

16 hectare = 16 × 10000 m² = 160000 m²

Area of triangle = ½ × base × height

160000 m² = ½ × base × 400 m

160000 × 2/400 = base

800 m = base

40 Dam = 400 m.

Base of a triangle = 2x area/height

2x160000/ 400

800 m.
