Answer:

6cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the base be x.

Area= 2.4dm^2 = 2.4 × 10^2= 240cm^2

Height= 80cm

Area of a triangle = 1/2 × base × height

⇒240 = 1/2 × x × 80= 40x⇒ x=240/40=6 cm

Given:

Area of triangle is 2.4 sq.dm.

Height of triangle is 80 cm

To Find:

Find the Base of triangle

Solution:

Area of triangle =\frac{1}{2} \times Base \times Height

Height of triangle is 80 cm

1 cm = 0.1 dm

80 cm = 0.1 \times 80 = 8 dm

Area of triangle =\frac{1}{2} \times base \times 8

The area of triangle is 2.4 sq.dm.

So,\frac{1}{2} \times base \times 8 = 2.4

Base = \frac{2.4 \times 2}{8}

Base =0.6 dm

Hence The base of triangle is 0.6 dm
