Solution :-

Given : The ratio of breadth to length = 3 : 5

Perimeter of rectangle = 250 m

Let the breadth and length of the rectangle be 3x and 5x respectively.

According to the question,

=> Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(Length + Breadth)

=> 250 = 2(5x + 3x)

=> 125 = 8x

=> x = 125/8 = 15.625

Length = 5x = 5 × 15.625 = 78.125 m

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 15.625 = 46.875 m

Linear Equations :

Let the length be 'l' and breadth be 'b'.

Ratio = 3:5

b:l = 3 :5

b/l = 3 / 5

5b = 3l

l = ( 5b)/3

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b )

250 = 2[ ( 5b/3) + b ]

125 = 8b/3

b = 125×3 / 8 = 375/8

b = 46.8 m

Now , Putting value of 'b' in 'l',

l = 5b/3 = 5×46.8 / 3

l = 234/3 = 78 m.

l = 78 m.

Length = 78 m and breadth = 46.8 m
