Find the breadth of a rectangular plot of land, if its area is 440 m2 and the length is 22 m. Also find its perimeter. ​

  • Breadth and Perimeter of Rectangular plot .

Solution :

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Rectangle=l\times{b}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{440=22\times{b}}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{440}{22}=b}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{20\:m=b}

So , The Breadth of plot is 20 m .

Now ,

\longmapsto\tt{Length=22\:m}

\longmapsto\tt{Breadth=20\:m}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Perimeter\:of\:Rectangle=2(l+b)}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{2(22+20)}

\longmapsto\tt{2(42)}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{84\:m}

So , The Perimeter of plot is 84 m .

Given,

Length of rectangle is 22m

Breadth of rectangle is y (we have to find)

Area of rectangle =440m²

FORMULA:-

AREA OF RECTANGLE = LENGTH × BREADTH

So,

400m² = 22m × y

y = \frac{440m²}{22m}

y=20m

So,breadth of rectangle is 20m

Perimeter =?

FORMULA:-

PERIMETER OF RECATANGLE = 2(l + b)

So, Already we know length and breadth

Perimeter = 2(22m +20m)

Perimeter = 2(42m)

Peeimeter = 84m

So, Final required answers are

Breadth of rectangle = 20m

Perimeter of rectangle = 84m
