answer

perimeter = 300 cm

length = 120 cm

breadth = x

area of a rectangle =

2(l + b)

2(120+x)=300 cm

240+2x= 300 cm

2x= 300-240

2x=60

x=

 \frac{60}{2}  = 30

breadth = 30 cm

GIVEN

• The perimeter of rectangle = 300 cm

• Length of r rectangle = 120 cm

FORMULA

• perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

where • l = Length of rectangle

• b = breadth of rectangle

SOLUTION

• The perimeter of rectangle= 300 cm

2(120 + b) = 300 \\ \implies \: 120 + b =  \frac{\cancel3\cancel0\cancel0}{\cancel2}  \\ \implies \: 120 + b = 150 \\ \implies \: b = 150 - 120 = 30

So breadth of rectangle = 30 cm
