Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle formula

2( l + b )

l = 70

perimeter = 200

so

2(70 + b) = 200

140 + 2b = 200

60 = 2b

so breadth is 30 cm

let breadth ( b ) = x

length ( l ) = 70 cm

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area of rectangle = 70 + x

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( length + breadth ) = 200

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( 70 + x ) = 200

Perimeter of rectangle = 140 + 2x = 200

2x = 200 - 140

2x = 60

x = 60 / 2

x = 30 cm

:. Breadth of the rectangle is 30 cm .
