circumference of base of cylinder = 44 cm = 2πr

= 2 × 22/7 × r

= 44/7 × r

r = 44 × 7/44

r = 7cm

Now, height of cylinder,h = 10cm

radius of its base,r = 7cm

CSA of cylinder = 2πrh

= 2 × 22/7 × 7 × 10

= 440cm^2

 \mathtt{  \huge{\fbox{Solution :)}}}

Given ,

  • Circumference of base of cylinder is 44 cm
  • Height of the cylinder is 10 cm

Since , the base of cylinder is in the shape of circle

Thus ,

➡2πr = 44

➡2 × (22/7) × r = 44

➡44/7 × r = 44

➡r/7 = 1

➡r = 7 cm

Hence , the radius of base of cylinder is 7 cm

We know that , the CSA of cylinder is given by

 \large \mathtt{ \fbox{CSA  \: of \: cylinder= 2\pi rh}}

Thus ,

➡CSA = 2 × (22/7) × 7 × 10

➡CSA = 44 × 10

➡CSA = 440 cm²

Hence , the CSA of cylinder is 440 cm²
