Given:

Total number of items = 16

Variance of 16 items = 20

Sum of 16 items  = 160

To find:

The C.V of 16 items

Solution:

Given,

The total number of items are 16

The sum of 16 items is 160

So the mean of 16 items will be = 160/16 = 10

Now the variance is given as 20

We know that variance = (standard deviation)²

Therefore

standard deviation = \sqrt{20}

Standard deviation = 4.47

Now we will find the C.V using the formula

C.V = \frac{S.D}{mean}100

C.V = 0.447 x 100

C.V = 44.7

Therefore the C.V will be equal to 44.7
