Answer:

0.30144 liters

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Height of cone = 8 cm

            Slant height = l = 10 cm

To Find : Capacity

Solution:

Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \pi \times l^2-h^2 h

Height of cone = 8 cm

Slant height = l = 10 cm

Substitute the values in the formula

Volume of cone = \frac{1}{3} \times 3.14 \times 10^2-8^2 \times 8

                          = \frac{1}{3} \times 3.14 \times 100-64 \times 8

                          = \frac{1}{3} \times 3.14 \times 36 \times 8

                          = 301.44

So, volume of cone = 301.44 cubic cm

1 cubic cm = 0.001 liters

301.44 cubic cm = 301.44 \times 0.001

                           = 0.30144

Hence the capacity in liters of a conical vessel having height 8 cm and slant height 10 cm is 0.30144 liters
