Find the capacity of a rectangular cistern in litres whose dimensions are
11.2 mx 6 mx 5.8 m. Find the area of the iron sheet required to make the cistern.​

We know that volume of cuboid = length × breadth × height

Volume of the cistern = 11.2 × 6 × 5.8

= 389.76 m3

= 389.76 × 1000

= 389760 litres

Area of the sheet that required to make the cistern = total surface area of the cistern we know that total surface area of cuboid

= 2(l b + b h + h l)

= 2 (11.22 × 6 + 6 × 5.8 + 5.8 × 11.2)

= 2 (67.2 + 64.96 + 34.8)

= 333.92 cm^2
