Answer

⇒To find the centroid of a triangle whose three vertices are known, we have to use the formula,

x = ( \frac{x1 + x2 + x3}{3} ) \\ y = ( \frac{y1 + y2 + y3}{3} )

⇒where,

  • x=x coordinate of centroid
  • y=y coordinate of centroid

⇒Given, A(5,-5), B (1,4), and C(-4,2)

substituting given values in the above equation,

we get,

x = ( \frac{  - 5 + 1  - 4}{3} ) \\  = ( - \frac{8}{3}  ) \\ y = ( \frac{5 + 4 + 2}{3} ) \\  = ( \frac{11}{3} )

⇒Therefore, centroid of the triangle is (-8/3,11/3)

hope it helps you.....!!!
