Given :  triangle formed by the lines represented by

x=2y ,

2x+y=0,

3x-y =5

To Find : centroid of triangle

Solution:

x=2y , 2x+y=0,

=> 2(2y) + y = 0  => 5y = 0 => y = 0

x = 0

(0,0 )

2x+y=0, 3x-y =5

=> 5x = 5  => x = 1

y = - 2

( 1 , - 2)

x=2y   3x-y =5

=> 6y - y = 5  => y = 1

x = 2

(2 , 1)

Vertex of triangle

(0,0 ) , ( 1 , - 2) , (2 , 1)

Centroid = (0 + 1 + 2)/3 , ( 0 - 2 + 1)/3

= 1 ,-1/3
