Find the change in velocity of the car in the time interval between t_1 = 1.00 s and t_2 = 3.00 s.

The given formula to find the velocity is : vₓ = 60 m/s + (0.50 m/s³) t²

So, the velocity of the car at t₁ is :

v₁ = 60 m/s + (0.50 m/s³) 1²

v₁ = 60.5

The velocity of the car at t₂ is :

v₂ = 60 m/s + (0.50 m/s³) 3²

v₂ = 64.5

∴ The change in velocity of the car in the time interval between t₁ = 1 sec and t₂ = 3 sec is :

vₓ = v₂ - v₁

vₓ = 64.5 - 60.5

vₓ = 4.0 m/s
