Find the change in wavelength of 80pm x rays that are scattered 120 degree by a target
using formula,
here, wavelength of x-ray, = 80pm
and = 120°
experimentally, = 2.426 pm
so, - 80pm = 2.426(1 - cos120°) pm
= 80pm + 2.426(1 + sin30°) pm
= 80pm + 2.426 × 1.5 = 83.639 pm
so, change in wavelength = 83.639 - 80 = 3.639 pm
using formula,
here, wavelength of x-ray, = 80pm
and = 120°
experimentally, = 2.426 pm
so, - 80pm = 2.426(1 - cos120°) pm
= 80pm + 2.426(1 + sin30°) pm
= 80pm + 2.426 × 1.5 = 83.639 pm
so, change in wavelength = 83.639 - 80 = 3.639 pm
