circumference = 2pi r
radius = 49cm
so
2pi r
=2pi *49
=2*22/7*49
=2*22*7
=44*7
= 308cm

The circumference of a circle is 308 cm whose radius is 49 cm.

Given:

  • A circle
  • Radius (r)= 49 cm

To find:

  • circumference of a circle.

Solution:

Formula to be used:

  • Circumference of a circle = 2πr

Step 1:

Write the given value of radius; r= 49 cm

Step 2:

Put the value of radius.

Circumference of a circle  = 2 \times  \frac{22}{7}  \times 49 \\

or

 = 2 \times  \frac{22}{ \cancel 7}  \times\cancel{ 49} \: 7 \\

or

 = 44 \times 7 \\

or

Circumference of a circle \bf = 308 \: cm \\

Thus,

Circumference of a circle is 308 cm.
