ANS

Circumference =2πr

Area of circle= πr²

πr²=196π

r²=196

r=√196 =14cm

Circumference =2πr

=2×14π

=28π

∴ Circumference of circle with area 196πcm² is 28π.

The circumference of a circle is 87.9cm.

Given:

Area= 196 π

To Find:

The circumference of the circle.

Solution:

To find the circumference of the circle, we will follow the following steps:

As we know,

The area of the circle is given by the formula:

\pi {r}^{2}

Here, r is the radius of the circle.

Now,

On putting area in the above formula we get,

\pi {r}^{2}  = 196\pi

 {r}^{2}  = 196

r =  \sqrt{196}  = 14cm

Also,

Circumference of the circle is given by the formula =

2\pi \: r

On putting the value of the radius we get,

2 \times \pi \times 14  = 28 \times 3.14= 87.9cm

Hencdfoeth, the circumference of a circle is 87.9cm.
